Rishiteshwari case: Doubts on other biggies

Along with the arrested three seniors, the officials now doubt that, there might be more biggies involved in Rishiteshwari suicide case. Speaking about this, minister Ghanta said that, along with VCs, other government officials will now eye on Nagarjuna University hostels and also conducts sudden inspections in the mid nights. He even said that any complaints on ragging can be informed by dialing the toll free number 1800 425 5314.

Rishiteshwari case: Balasubramanyam committee recommendations

1. The people who are the reason behind Rishiteshwari suicide must be punished under Andhra Pradesh prohibition of Ragging Act, Nirbhaya Act, Prohibition of sexual harassment of women at work place-2013.

2.  Babu Rao should not be allowed to continue in his job, till the enquiry gets completed

3. A fast track court and special public prosecutor must be arranged for the fast judgment to the culprits in Rishiteshwari case.

4. A meeting should be held to discuss about the safeguard measures in the college hostel

5. Students with crime background should not be given admission in the college.

6. Freshers day celebrations should be held as early as possible, that too only in the college premises itself.

7. Every student should be provided with Identity cards and Bio metric system should be implemented, so that no outers enter into the college.

Andhrawishesh view

However, the case investigation will not end just by dismissing the principal, he is eligible for bigger punishments, as it should be noted that, he is the only one, who accompanied the students to a private place to conduct the freshers party.

So, arresting Babu Rao and putting him behind the bars with merciless judgment will only be the right judgment, even the people wish, along with Rishiteshwari parents. So hope the government does not try to put Babu Rao on safe side, just by dismissing.
