RSS Sarsanghachalak to be provided Z+ category security

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat is provided with the highest category 'Z-plus' security. Commandos of CISF's Special Security Group will ensure the security to him at the RSS headquarters at Nagpur and across the country when he travels. "The proposal was first given in 2013 when UPA was in power but initially CISF refused to provide cover. Several modalities were discussed through regular communications over these years and finally, MHA has now decided that he will get complete cover from the central force," said a senior ministry official.

The Special Security Group, known as the VVIP commando unit of CISF, is well equipped with sophisticated weapons like AK-series rifles and is armed with latest gadgets for communication and anti-sabotage tasks. The commando unit is also identified as the “centre of excellence” for VVIP security in the country.

The security cover, Bhagwat will be having about 60 commandos round-the-clock to protect him. Vehicles in Bhagwat’s convoy would also change in accordance with protocol and guidelines for Z-plus protectees.

Union home ministry has asked the CISF to take full charge of his protection,. Home ministry officials said the 64-year-old RSS Sarsanghchalak will be guarded by an elite squad of the CISF, which will take over from Maharashtra police personnel.

Shri Bhagwat being the chief of RSS a Hindu organisation which is working for the safety and security of the country along with preaching the traditions and practises of the Hindu Dharma is always a target of the terrorists who are trying to disintegrate the country and everything that is Hindu. His views on the national integration and the traditions have always been discussed widely. His views of Hinduism and the people of this country is widely accepted irrespective of religion barring the pseudo secular politicians.
