BJP Gears up for Delhi Assembly Elections

India Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the Bharatiya Janata Party poll campaign by holding a rally at Ramleela Grounds on January 10. According to the sources, the Delhi election campaign trail will witness active participation of senior party leaders like President Amit Shah, Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Jagat Prakash Nadda.

The Delhi Assembly elections will kick off in February, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are gearing up for another face off to form the government. Both the parties are likely to face tough challenge in upcoming Delhi Assembly Elections. According to the sources, the electoral roll published on Monday and the total number of voters in the national capital have been estimated at 1,30,85,251 out which 72,60,633 are men and 58,24,618 are women voters.

The AAP has made their debut in 2013 Delhi Assembly Elections by winning 28 sets, behind the BJP got 31 MLAs. Meanwhile, AAP has managed to form a government with the support of Congress (8 MLAs) and JD(U) (one) and former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned in 49 days making it a short-lived government.
