Paritala Ravi case to be re-probed?

The Telugu Desam government is looking to reopen the case of Paritala Ravi who was brutally murdered by his rivals. The culprits in connection with this case also got killed under mysterious circumstances during the 2004-09 Congress government in then United Andhra Pradesh. However, the case is still in pending even after assigning CBI, the task of probe.

Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Chinnappa said, the government is looking to reopen this case and it would be discussed in the cabinet meeting before taking any further step. Paritala Ravi was killed on January 24, 2005 and the Anantapur District Court on 25 August 2011, sentenced 8 people to life imprisonment, also acquitted 4 persons in the case.

Paritala Ravi's wife Sunitha who is now a cabinet member will take up this issue in the next meeting and CM Chandrababu Naidu too is in favor of doing it.
