A 32-year-old man, software engineer of a leading IT firm was arrested after his wife complained that he was a homosexual and caught his "gay" encounters on hidden cameras in their house. The police have arrested the accused under IPC section 377 [unnatural offences] on October 26th.

The techie's wife, a dentist, had lodged a complaint with Malleshwaram police on October 20, against her husband and her in-laws for cheating her. The woman was married to the accused about an year ago and claimed that he did not establish physical relations with her and insisted on sleeping in different rooms. Suspecting his behaviour, the woman suggested her husband to approach a doctor but he refused. Also the woman had no support from in-laws and so she decided to find out the truth.

Neighbours of the woman keep complaining that many male guests are visiting in her absence but the techie covered up the issue by saying they are his business associates. The woman installed cameras in every room of her flat and went to her hometown. She returned home after a week and was shocked to see her husband had sexual encounters with various men.

However, as this news spread, the debate over IPC section 377 hit the headlines.
