1800 year old church burnt by ISIS

Islamic State of Iraq and Syria [ISIS] militants have increased their attacks and burnt a 1800 year old ancient church in Mosul. The ISIS militants threatened the local people to leave the city or get converted into Islam religion and pay special taxes or get killed.  The Sunni militants are on a mission to eradicate the Christians from the Iraq country.

With the warning from the militants, many Christians left Mosul city and the militants have set fire to the Assyrian Christian Church. Apart from this, The NewYork Times has reported the ISIS militants have have removed the cross symbol from St. Ephrem's Cathedral, which was once the seat of the Syriac Orthodox archdiocese in Mosul. Later they hoisted ISIS black flag and an ancient statue of Virgin Mary has also been broken.
