US to back AP in Finance, Infra

The United States has extended its full support to Andhra Pradesh state to push financial and infrastructural growth.A key member of the Obama administration and US Assistant Secretary for Trade Promotion Arun Kumar met AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and held discussions  about the possibilities for mutual co-operation and trade.

In this meeting Mr Kumar has offered to introduce global perspective along with practices in AP which could assist in Financial and infrastructural growth. Kumar also came up with a collaborative partnership between the US Commerce Department and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. CM has welcomed US decision and a joint working group would be constituted which will monitor ongoing projects, exchange views and bilateral issues.

Chandrababu has offered an invitation to US President Barack Obama to visit Andhra Pradesh during his tour to India later this year through US officials. This would boost more investment in AP region if at all Obama pays a visit.

The partnership main focus is on creating effective framework which enables to exchange information critical in terms of development and resources leading to a strong infrastructure and prosperity in Andhra Pradesh. After the meeting, the government has released a press released which highlighted the discussion between CM Naidu and US officials.
