16th Lok Sabha sessions to begin

Parliament sessions for the 16th Lok Sabha will begin from today however, the lower house will adjourn today after paying tributes to Union cabinet minister Gopinath Munde who expired yesterday. The schedule of the Lok Sabha were modified with the death of Munde and Congress leader Kamal Nath will act as pro-tem speaker of Lok Sabha.

All the newly elected members of Parliament will take oath on 5th and 6th of June while the new Speaker's name will be announced on 6th evening. Till the new speaker's selection, Kamal Nath will be the Lok Sabha Speaker. Sumitra Mahajan's name has finalized for the speaker post by the BJP leadership.

On June 9th, President of India, Pranab Mukherjee will address both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The following days i.e,  June 10th and 11th, Government and opposition parties will thank President Pranab and both the house will adjourn for the next season of sessions.
