The Congress high command has shortlisted three candidates for Rajya Sabha polls and all three of them are the senior most leaders of Congress. They are KVP Ramchandra Rao, Subbirami Reddy and MA Khan. The Congress is believed to give KVP one more chance as he has loads of political experience and it would benefit party anytime. This strategy of Congress also work as KVP would get Seemandhra MPs and MLAs support who are unhappy in the bifurcation issue.
Congress is also considering to support, TRS party candidate K Keshav Rao as it would indirectly act like an advantage to them. Meanwhile TRS party has asked for MIM party's support in Rajya Sabha polls, however, MIM are yet to take a decision on their support.
Many in TDP:
Things are quite different in TDP party as many leaders are in race for Rajya Sabha. The politburo meeting went on hot hot yesterday night. Reports say that Mothukapalli Narasimhulu walked out of the meet as his name was not included in RS list. But he was comforted by MP Nama Nageswara Rao.
Overall every party except YSR Congress is busy banging their heads for Rajya Sabha polls.
