Karunanidhi expels son Alagiri from DMK

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi has suspended his son MK Alagiri from the party in discipline terms. And this suspension clears line for Stalin to take control over the party after Karunanidhi. DMK sources say that Alagiri has been working against the party ideologies and making controversial statements against the party leaders sepcially on Stalin. So on the discipline grounds, Alagiri has been suspended from the all positions in the party.

Alagiri has been opposing DMK's allaince with Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) which is headed by hero Vijaykanth in the upcoming general elections. Alagiri was once popular among party workers in and around Madurai city.
