Kejriwal Convoy Stopped by Delhi Police

The convoy of the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was stopped by Delhi Police as he was going to the office of the Home Minister to sit there to protest.  Kejriwal is scheduled to protest in front of Home Minister’s office for not suspending the three erring policemen.

The policemen in question did not support the Law Minister Somnath Bharti when he raided at midnight to bust as he claims the drug racket and prostitution going on at Khirki Extension in New Delhi where Nigerial nationals were staying.  Bharti was acting on a complaint from the locals about the anti social activities going on in the area.  Bharti was warned by the ACP that AAP is crossing its limits.

There are many firsts in the incident.  First time in the history of India, a Chief Minister attempts to make protests in front of Home Minister’s office.  First time in the history convoy of the Chief Minsiter was stopped by the police.  And first time in the history the Delhi police warned the Minister of Delhi and also the ruling party.

In the meanwhile the Home Minister Shinde stated that the Delhi Police cannot be brought under the State Administration.  He said that the inquiry is going on the policemen until which time Kejriwal should wait.
