The President's Southern Sojourn Ended Today

The President Pranab Mukherjee stayed at Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollaram at Hyderabad for a stay of 13 days in the winter season. He attended all of his programs during the visit from Hyderabad.

The President who gave time to the visitors liberally had a hectic schedule during his stay this time at Hyderabad.  He patiently heard the suggestions and requests of the political leaders on the burning issue of the state, The State Reorganization Bill 2013.

The President landed at Hyderabad on December 19 went to Tiruvanthapuram, Chennai and Kochi to attend different programs. Then he was busy receiving delegations from the political parties on the issue of state bifurcation.  He went to Ananthapur on December 24 to attend Andhra Pradesh first Chief Minister Nilam Sanjeeva Reddy’s centenary celebrations.

The President left for Delhi.  He was given a grand farewell by the Governor ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha and other leaders.
