The Indian Banks Association (IBA) and Bank Employees Unions met for clearing certain differences but the deliberations failed to get the desired result. The discussions were held at the office of the Chief Labor Commissioner.
The United Forum of Bank Unions Convener Ch Venkatachalam announced that the Bank employees will be on strike from work for one day on Wednesday.
The demands of the Employees unions include pay enhancement and other things related to it.
