Chandra Babu Met President On Tribunal's Verdict

The Telugu Desam Party President Chandra Babu Naidu met President today at Delhi and submitted an eight pages report on the final verdict of Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal headed by Justice Brijesh Kumar. The group of TDP leaders met the President have explained the injustice done to the State by the verdict of Brijesh Kumar tribunal.

Tummala Nageswara Rao one of the TDP leaders who worked as State Minister for Water Irrigation projects talked on the TV interview in the morning today told that it was only TDP that has initiated the water projects and complained that in the regime of YSR nothing was initiated excepting Polavaram Project. More over Nageswara Rao alleged that about one lakh crore rupees were spent on the projects without any resulting developments on them. He also complained that instead of calling for yearly tenders as it is to be done in major projects, the YSR Government called tenders for entire projects and that way blocked crores of rupees.

Chandra Babu Naidu and other TDP leaders are to meet the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also to represent on the issue and request him to take suitable action.

Chandra Babu Naidu also wrote a letter to the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday requesting him to move Supreme Court and also pressurize the Prime Minister in the interests of the State.

TDP announced Maha Dharna on the issue on Prakasham Barrage on December 4.
