Who Said What in Congress Coordination Committee

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy reiterated that he supports united AP and opposes bifurcation. He said that the people are opposing it and the Congress party will be badly defeated in the State because of the decision to bifurcate the State.

Digvijas Singh said earlier that the Congress high command took a decision after taking into consideration all the points involved in it and the congress leaders should cooperate and go by the decision of the high command.

Union Minister Chiranjeevi said in the meeting that the HMDA should be brought under the Center’s rule and the revenue should be distributed to both the States for 10 years.  He also suggested that a Board should be appointed to look after the distribution of the river waters.

The Deputy Chief Minister Damodara Raja Narasimha told that the 10 years’ common capital is acceptable but it should be without any conditions.  He said that the bifurcation should be done according the decision of the CWC but no changes in the boundaries are acceptable.

Digvijay Singh said that the Coordination Committee will meet again at Hyderabad in the second week of December.
