Union Home to Study Hyderabad Issue in Bifurcation

Senior officials from the Union Home Ministry headed by retired IPS K Vijaya Kumar are going to Visit Hyderabad to study and come to a conclusion about the issue of Hyderabad in the bifurcation of the State that became an unsolved problem which became a knot and getting tightened each day.

The question before the Center is whether Hyderabad should be declared as Union Territory or it has to be given totally to Telangana?  The problem it is facing is how to satisfy Seemandhra people if Hyderabad is given to Telangana?  It is to be decided what type of security measures should be taken in Hyderabad for the lives and properties of Seemandhra people.

The officials representing Union Home Ministry will stay at Hyderabad for three days- Tuesday to Thursday to study the issue that has become complicated with the Telangana movement and counter Samaikyandhra movement.

It is not clear in the Constitution about the common Capital of two States. There is no precedent of having a common capital for years together.  Chandigarh is common Capital city for Punjab and Haryana but it is declared Union Territory.  CWC made the decision that Hyderabad will be common Capital for ten years which is appearing in the Telangana Note placed in the Cabinet too.  Andhra Pradesh has to work after carving out Telangana from it and also there is no precedent that the existing capital is given to the newly formed State.  If the issues like power and water sharing and distribution of revenues are not clearly decided before the division it will lead to more complication than anybody can visualize.

The team from Center is coming to Hyderabad to come to some solution after deliberations with the experts and representatives from all the regions.
