SC to Monitor Treasure Hunt in Unnao, UP?

Treasure hunt in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh takes a new turn with the PIL in Supreme Court that the excavations should be done only under SC's directions.

The name of the village Daundia Khera is a lesser known place in India until the day Sadhu Shoban Sarkar revealed his dream in which he saw that 1000 tons of gold is buried under the fort of Raja Ram Bux Singh.  Acheological Survey of India bought his idea and prepared to undertake excavations to bring that treasure out.  People curious to see what is happening are thronging to the village.

Union Minister of the State for Agriculture and Food Processing Charan Das Mahant not only believed the dream of the sadhu totally but asked ASI to act on it which readily agreed to dig and find gold which as per the Sadhu is over 1000 tons in quantity.

Do governments work on the dreams of Sadhus?

Not really until someone in the Government takes it serious number one, and number two, the past experience at Trivandrum in Padmanabha temple makes them speculate about it.

As the ASI readied itself for the excavation work for the precious metal, a PIL is filed in Supreme Court that the whole process should be monitored by the Supreme Court of India as it was done in the case Padmanabha temple.  The excavation is scheduled to be taken up today by the Archeological Survey of India which has been camping there for three days.
