The Cine actress turned politician and Medak MP Vijaya Shanti took a decision to join Congress party.  Vijaya Shanti who was with TRS is not happy with the party’s decisions off late.  

She did not accept her Medak constituency to be given to any other leader.  But TRS president KCR promised to the defectors from the Congress party asking the existing leaders to sacrifice their positions for the sake of Telangana.

As she could not adjust in the TRS party anymore she even commented earlier on the party’s affairs.  Now, as the Congress party is emerging as a strong force in the new State of Telangana because of its fast decisions in favor of the Telangana people’s desire to have a separate statehood, she is joining Congress party on 8th August.
