Ball of T in the court of TDP

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal reiterated his stand on the partition of the State to give Statehood to Telangana. He also said that he will retire from the active politics if a partition takes place in the State.

Rajagopal said that everyone is anxiously looking for the decision of the Center on this issue.  As a well informed leader in politics, he said that the Center may ask the State to pass a resolution for the partition.

As there is no unanimity in the State for forming a separate Telangana State from AP, the Center may go for a poll in the Assembly and will go by the majority.  In the wake of it, the decision of the TDP assumes importance in that case.

Rajagopal said that TDP should take back its acceptance for the partition and see that the poll result will not be in favor of a division of the State.  He said that the Central Government will take poll in the State Assembly as the criteria to introduce a bill in the Parliament for the Statehood issue for Telangana.
