JD(U) bade goodbye to BJP and it is the second blow to BJP after the resignation drama that made it difficult to the party for three four days.   The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote to the Governor of the State to remove 11 Ministers who belong to BJP.  

Narendra Modi's entry in to the National Political arena made brought disorder to BJP right from the moment he set his foot.  But BJP is sticking to its decision of making the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi a hero.  Recent JD(U)’s decision to withdraw their support to NDA also did not make apparent changes in the attitude of BJP. They still see a savior of BJP in Modi.  Although it is a blow to the coalition of NDA, BJP is showing a bold face.  They called for a bandh in Bihar today.  Although Modi put his best foot forward, his foot turned to be an ‘Iron leg’ to BJP.  ‘Iron leg’ is a strong one, like an Iron Man’s leg in fact but in Telugu usage, it is used to refer to a foot placing of which brings bad luck.

The President of JD(U) and the Chief Minsiter of the State Nitish Kumar announced to the media that they are withdrawing their support to NDA.  Bihar has 11 BJP Ministers in the coalition Government in the State.  JD(U) says that it will prove its strength in the Assembly in this month.  JD(U) is short of 4 members in the Assembly to have an absolute majority.  Four independent candidates and two more are willing to make the number 124 that makes the JD(U) to retain the power in the State. 

Political analysts say that the JD(U) has long back decided to withdraw but only waiting for an opportune time to announce it and now Narendra Modi’s popular role given by BJP made it easy for them to do so.

The same way, Lal Krishna Advani the senior leader also was dissatisfied with the opportunities lost by him to occupy the highest seat of Prime Ministry and now with Modi’s emerging in the party as the most sought after figure gave a blow to Advani where it hurts him most.  That is the reason why Advani called himself as 'Bhisma' in his last days lying on the bed of arrows.
