Asthma Patients Throng For Fish Medicine

Asthma Patients from the State and also other States reached Hyderabad Nampally Exhibition grounds to get fish medicine.

The fish medicine called 'Chepa Mandu' distributed free by the Bathini Gowd brothers to give relief to the asthma patients earned good will because of which the Govt. of AP allotted land for the purpose, made arrangements to organize smooth distribution to the crowds, security arrangements and also transportation.

Live murrel fish along with the siddha medicine is slipped in to the throat of the patients by the Bathini Gowd brothers who have the secret of the medicine that work miracles on the Asthma as people believe.  Many voluntary organizations protested against the crude method of administering the medicine and also the doors of the Courts of law were knocked.  But ultimately the wish of the people wins.  Yesterday, the orders of Lokayukta were stayed by the High Court regarding the restrictions on the distribution of the medicine being supported by the Government departments.

Bathini brothers also give medicine for the vegetarians by mixing it with jaggery (gur).  But the medicine with jaggery has to be taken for a longer period than that of taking with fish.

Many patients reached Hyderabad yester day and stayed at the grounds.  The distribution will be take place at 12.30 today.  The fish medicine is going to be distributed through 32 centers.  The distribution will continue tomorrow also.  RTC is arranging 41 additional buses for the convenience of the visitors to fish medicine distribution.
