Jaya Lalitha refuses to PM's call

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called for a Chief Minsiters' meet tomorrow to discuss matter related to internal security.

But Chief Minsiter of Tamilnadu Jaya Lalitha flatly refused to attend it.  She wrote a letter to the Prime Minister that such meetings do not give an opportunity to the Chief Ministers to talk from their point of view.  It is all one sided meeting.  Although Chief Ministers are at par with the Prime Minister in taking the responsibilities as they have to look after the affairs of the State Administration, CMs are given least priority in the meetings.

Jaya Lalitha also said that the things to be announced in the meeting will be decided beforehand as previous meetings experience tells and only Chief Ministers are called just to say ok to those proposals without going in to them in the discussions.

Jaya Lalitha is allowing Municipal Minister, Secretary to Home and DGP to attend the meeting on behalf of Tamilnadu Government.

Let us not compare AP Chief Ministers with her.  It will be a futile attempt.
