HC notices to Govt. and BCCI

Delhi High Court accepted the petition to delink BCCI from IPL and sent notices to the Government of India and BCCI in that matter.

A public interest litigation (PIL) was filed by an NGO to treat the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as a national sports federation and take over its affairs and game of cricket including IPL.

The division bench of Justice D.Murugesan and Justice Jayant Nath issued notices to The Government of India, State Govt. of Delhi and BCCI to respond within 4 weeks and the matter is posted to 14th August.

As the spot fixing in IPL is busted by Delhi Police, the news became a hot topic and shocking to cricket lovers and cricket players too.

Dhoni in the press meet kept totally silent on the issue wearing an unwavering smile all through the press meet.  He did not even say ‘no comments’ on the issue.  Sachin said today that the news of this sort on cricket is making him quite unhappy and pains him a lot.
