In a funny incident during his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra, Chandrababu Naidu had to face a few moments of embarrassment when Magantibabu, a foodie, tried to serve Babu with chicken. Babu who has been staying away from non-vegetarian food politely declined the offer. This incident happened in Manteru after Naidu spoke to the people.

"I have been taking soups made of Ragi, millets and jowar for food everyday along with vegetables and Magantibabu is trying to convert me to non-vegetarian food again. It has been a long while since I had stopped eating non-veg. Though Magantibabu offers me, I cannot accept the offer." he said.

Humorously he added, "Maganti is a food lover. He eats and he forces everyone to eat". " He offered me Manteru Chicken Pakodi, the specialty of the locality". "Eat to your hearts content," he told everyone. "Ask Maganti to pay your bills, though" he joked.
