Hyderabad blasts: Assembled bicycle used by terrorists

Hyderabad police commissioner Dwakara Tirumala Rao has released the photographs of the bicycle, which was used in the recent bomb blasts in Hyderabad that claimed over 16 lives. The damaged bicycle was found lying on the spot near Anand Tiffin Centre. The police said that since the rear portion of the cycle was damaged, it was suspected that bomb might have been fixed in the rear portion of the vehicle.

The police also said that this was an assembled bicycle. While the parts used in the front portion were Atlas made, the rim and back parts were old company Usha make. The chain, which is used in the cycle was a heavy-duty one named KW, which was manufactured in England. The bicycle seemed like it was painted long back.

The commissioner has appealed to all second hand bicycle vendors to help them by providing some clues pertaining to the accused. Also, he has said that owners of houses who rented their portions to the accused or suspected persons who vacated their rented homes after bomb blasts should inform to the police and help them in finding clues. He said suitable rewards would be given over the same.
