Undeterred Chandrababu Naidu, on his massive walkathon, crosses the 2000 km milestone, a record by any state politician till date. In spite an ailing body the Telugu Desam Party supremo had moved on, in his mission. Mr Babu who had a cold response in the beginning, garnered massive crowds as he proceeded. His achievement and dedication at this age must be acknowledged .

Mr Babu started his padayatra on October 02, 2012, from Anantapur District. His aim was to brief public about the ongoing corruption after the TDP was swept out of power. Right now he is in the Guntur District. After crossing 12 districts including 107 towns, two cities, 107 mandals and 55 constituencies the senior leader is going strong. Close observers claim that it is public patronage that is encouraging the leader to accomplish this horrendous task.

The padayatra was briefly halted only on three occasions, till date. One was when the podium erected at Gadwal collapsed, second was when trusted aide and senior leader Yerran Naidu died and the third was when Mr Babu visited the cyclone victims.

However the massive event garnered applause from public and the disillusioned cadre got rejuvenated. With newer enthusiasm the party activists regained confidence to safe sail to power in the coming elections.
