Is Lotus Pond haunted by ghosts?

Remember the palatial palace, Lotus Pond, the residence of YSR Congress supremo Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy which has nearly 72 bedrooms. The TDP President, N Chandrababu Naidu, on his massive walkathon, Vastunna Mee Kosam, commented that the Lotus Pond was the residence of ghosts. He added that the money abetted from illegal sources was heaped on the premises.

Mr Babu also said that in spite of a big mansion, Jagan was in Chanchalguda Prison, which shows that the house was haunted, unoccupied by the family members. He recalled that normally a family builds a house keeping the needs in the mind. But Jagan's construction only states how much he dwindled from the public exchequer.

He went on to inform that the late Chief Minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy was not 'apara Bhageeratha' (the man who brought water) but was 'Akrama Kubherudu.' (corrupted rich man).

The TDP supremo who was welcomed by huge gathering enroute in the Guntur district, commented that nearly 8,000 acres of land had been gifted by the late CM to his close associates,  at throw away rates.

He estimated that the cost of the misused land would approximate to Rs 20 crores per acre. He added that if voted by people in the coming elections, he would bring the corrupted money back into the accounting system.

Everything is fine till this point, he later added that he had not come for requesting people for power but had come for the welfare of the people. On the other hand, he also requested that the youth must play an active role in condemning corruption and help TDP gain the power back through the electorate.

Both these statements are contradictory and the leader should have avoided this, which gives room for unwanted speculation by critics.

Though it is really not wrong for any party to aspire for power, but to aspire in the disguise of public welfare is something that did not go down well with the critics. (Wishesh AarKay)
