Was it for water or currency, Babu questions YSR?

The Telugu Desam Party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu questioned the public over the 'Jala Yagnam' proposed by late Chief Minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy. He questioned whether it was ritual for water or was currency harvesting machinery.

In his words the TDP leader questioned whether it was 'Jala Yagnam'(ritual for water) or 'Dhana Yagnam' (ritual for money). In his usual satirical town the former chief minister threw the question while addressing a massive gathering at the Guntur town.

Mr Babu on his walkathon, 'Vastunna Mee Kosam' reaches Guntur town, today and will traverse across the district. Enroute the leader was greeted with warmth and endless crowds.

Mr Babu said that the steep rise of essential commodities prices, was directly related to the huge scale corruption that was eating the economy like a parasite. He added that the discrepancies he had warned about Jala Yagnam then are now probed by the Comptroller Auditor General (CAG).

He slammed the government over the numerous liquor shops aided by many belt shops which were weakening the poor families further. Also about the land schemes by the ruling party, he remarked that Congress leaders were pocketing huge benefits. (Wishesh AarKay)
