Mercury raises in Telangana!

Well this is not a weather report but it is the situation in Telangana region. Many students from the ABVP surround minister Jana Reddy's house in Nalgonda and demand his resignation. Situation quite tense at Nagarjuna Sagar.

Congress leaders from Telangana meet at senior leader K Kesava Rao's house and prepare the resignation letter in the 'Speaker's format.' On the occasion, MP Ponnam Prabhakar remarked that their intention is not to disturb the UPA government but to stress their demand for the separate state. He admitted that the leaders have decided to abide by the conditions laid down by the seniors at Delhi for the sake of T state. He also added that the MPs are going to Delhi on Wednesday to meet the UPA chairperson Ms Sonia Gandhi and submit their resignations.

In an another incident, Minister for Rural Development & N R E G S, D M Vara Prasad was gheraoed  by agriculture students. The minister was addressing at an event in the Aliminati Madhava Reddy rural development academy. On gathering information of his arrival the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University students tried to abstract the meet. However alert police men took control of the situation while arresting the students.

On the other side Telangana activists under the political T JAC are already voicing their concerns for a separate state. With the TRS leaders warning a massive and continuous protest on the anvil, students and vendors are worried over the outcome. All around the year the students struggle for a better future, with competitive exams around the corner, the strike would play havoc on them, feel many.

The vendors wonder about their survival as the common man would turn conservative and with protests around inward and outward parcel movement would be obstructed which would in turn yield lesser or no earnings.  (Wishesh AarKay)
