KVP awakes from nowhere against T formation!

It is a long time since there was any news about the man-Friday of the late Chief Minister Y S Rajashekar Reddy. But now Dr.K.V.P.Ramachandra Rao (KVP), the Rajya Sabha MP, emerges.

He seems to be the Kingpin, behind the recent lobbying of the Seemandhra leaders at Delhi against the Telangana formation.

As per strong signals, the Congress high command that was to announce its decision on January 28 might as well announce it a couple of days earlier. And this time the party might turn green for the formation of the new state.

In the context many Seemandhra MPs like Undavallli Arun Kumar, Anantha Venkatarama Reddy, J D Seelam and the AP NGO association heads are in Delhi trying their best to influence the high command against the formation. And the most speculated point is that KVP heads the team and had been instrumental, using his good offices, to schedule appointments with top leaders in the national capital.

Yesterday the team met central Home Minister Shinde, Vayalar Ravi and Dig Vijay Singh in this regards. During their meeting the leaders seem to have briefed about the various problems that are troubling the state and among them the T issue was the least. They also suggested a solution to identify weaker regions and give a package to develop them.

Today the team is to meet the prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to brief their views. While all this is going as per schedule, the undue emergency only gives an insight on the Congress decision.

Another surprising issue is that KVP and his team are all loyalists to the late YSR but did not dessert the Congress. On the other hand, YSR Congress, supports the Telangana move and these leaders are opposing the issue. KVP emerging after a long hiatus is worth admiring. (Wishesh AarKay)
