Flights to Hyd reach Chennai after hovering at airport

Thick fog in Hyderabad today has disrupted the air traffic. Many flights, which were scheduled to land at Shamshabad international airport were diverted to Chennai airport after the flights reached Hyderabad. The reason for this divert was fog due to which pilots were not able to see the run way.  Flights, which were coming from Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Delhi were said to be diverted to Chennai.

There has been no information whether flights from Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam and Bengaluru to Hyderabad got cancelled because flights from these places would leave their station sometime in the evening. The sources said that if the weather will be okay by then, there would be no problem otherwise those flights would be cancelled because it would only be irk a traveller from Vijayawada to Hyderabad if the flight on which he's aboard is diverted to a place, which takes double the time compared to his current place to reach Hyderabad.
