Anti corruption crusader and Gandhian philosopher, Anna Hazare has demanded death penalty to the six accused in Delhi rape case. He has also said that the country and government should get a lesson. Stringent laws should be made, added Anna Hazare. A person like Anna Hazare demanding capital punishment itself proves that to how much extent the seriousness of the case is and how the entire nation has been moved by the heinous crime.
It may be recalled that on December 16, a gang of six severely beat the 23-year-old woman and her boy friend after they boarded a bus to Dwarka in Delhi at 9 pm. After the girl passed out (fainted), the beasts took turns as the bus moved in the streets of the national capital. The woman was thrown out of bus naked and lied in a pool of blood in a helpless situation. The police who reached the spot shifted her to Safdarjung hospital where she underwent multiple surgeries. She was recently air lifted by air ambulance to Singapore for an advanced treatment where she succumbed to injuries the wee hours today.
Not just stringent laws, but realization should also come in the public. A realization that females are goddesses in guise, a realization that it was woman who gave birth to us. And when such realization comes, people will start respecting woman.
