Govt no role to play in CBI probe: Botsa

PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana has said that government had no role to play in the CBI probe. He spoke to the reporters in the wake of Governor ESL Narasimhan sending back the file seeking prosecution of Dharmana Prasada Rao. Also, he said he didn't know the affairs related to Dharmana Prasada Rao but only read them in newspapers. Further, he pointed out as to why CBI sought government's permission initially if it feels there was no need for the premier investigation agency to go ahead with prosecution of Dharmana Prasada Rao.

Speaking on bifurcation issue, Botsa Satyanarayana has said that he will convey the leaders' opinions of all regions to the Centre. He said since leaders from all the three regions spoke to him, there wasn't any need to convene a special meeting to discuss all party meeting. It may be noted that the Centre has convened an all party meeting on December 28 to discuss Telangana issue.
