Gali bail plea: Court defers hearing

The CBI court, which heard the arguments on Gali Janardhan Reddy's bail petition in connections with illegal mining case, deferred the next hearing to Thursday (tomorrow). The counsel of Gali Janardhan Reddy has argued that the investigation into the case was completed and three charge sheets were filed in this regard. Therefore, he prayed court that Gali may be granted bail. Also, he said Gali had been in prison for an year now. To make a point he said Gali Janardhan Reddy worked as a public representative and even as a minister and argued that he would not run away in case bail is granted upon. The court, which heard the arguments, deferred the case to tomorrow.

It may be recalled that Gali Janardhan Reddy was tourism minister of Karnataka when he was arrested by the CBI and shifted to Chanchalguda Jail for allegedly tampering with the borderline of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh with his Obulapuram Mining Company in Anantapur district.
