Morning Wishesh: Happy International day of Peace

Hi readers its a gloomy Friday morning at Hyderabad, reflects our moods for a weekend hangout. So pack up your formals and off to office for an hectic schedule followed by the jubilation Saturday night fever....oops. Well seriously lets get down to business. Today is a special day globally and for women from the state. Let's discuss in detail about that, in the history of the day section. And now lets know what is happening around, in a quick scan of Morning Wishesh.

Thought for the day: From the words of the great Gurazada Apparao:
Desamunu preminchumanna,
Manchi yannadi penchumanna,
Votti maatalu kattipettoy,
Gattimel talapettavoy.
Desamante matti kaadoyi,
Desamante manushuloyi
Meaning:
A country is not made of land; a country is made of its people.

History Speaks: The whole state gears up to celebrate the 150th Jayanti of the great Gurzada Apparao, who was a social reformer, poet, writer, philosopher, and a guardian for womanhood. He was the savior for woman who pioneered the reforms like Sati Sahagamanam and widow re-marriage. His play 'Kanyasulkam' was so famous that it was oft repeated and recently on the 13th of August, 1992, celebrated its 100th birthday. This was the first ever play that had a preface in English, many followed later.

Days Specialty: Today globally it is celebrated for Peace. Peace does not necessarily mean remaining peaceful all by ones self. But maintaining a peaceful society that shreds violence and enjoys every moment in the company of this cosmopolitan society. Because after all 'life is too beautiful to be wasted with hatred.' Wishesh specially prays for universal peace on this International day of peace.

Celebrity Corner: Today we have veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, who took us into dreams of socio-fantacy with his Aditya 369, Bhairava Dweepam, Pushpaka Vimanam and so on. He has directed about 60 films in various languages including Hindi and English. Currently he is working on a film about the life of Jesus Christ with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. A director who leaves an indelible mark on the national horizon with his innovate projects. One of the few directors, globally, who have never duplicated in narration is a rare phenomenon on itself. Wishesh wishes the versatile veteran a Happy Birthday. Sir you must give us numerous more reasons to travel to the world of fantasies and awaken the child in us.

Tirupati: Devotees rush normal and sources say that 10 compartments are filled with devotees to have a glimpse of the Lord. Ordinary darshan will just take six hours for the devotees in queue. Ideal time to have a darshan of the lord of seven hills.  Tirumala is spruced up with festive galore for the ongoing Brahmotsavams. Today being the fourth day, the schedule begins with the Kalpavruksha Vahana Seva. Then the Vunjal Seva (swing seva) will be celebrated for the Lord. The day culminates with the Sarvabhupala Vahana Seva at 9 pm.

Hyderabad: To mark renowned poet Gurajada Apparao's 150th birth anniversary, the Hyderabad district administration has asked the education department to ensure students of all schools sing the patriotic song 'Desamunu preminchumanna...' on Friday at 11 am.

FDI in Retail: The National scenario for the day seems to be quite uncomfortable for the Congress led UPA. With Trinamool Congress and Mulayam Singh Yadav voicing loud threats of dissidence over the issue. Stage is set for a possible curtains down for the regime.

Ganapati: As the Ganapati celebrations, taking center stage, a word mentioning of the Czech Colony residents of the city, is a worthwhile exercise. An NGO in the neighborhood had been recommending Eco-friendly Ganesha's for the celebrations. In fact the 37 flat associations in the colony had gone as per the recommendations of the NGO and bought five feet mud idols for the celebrations. Speaking to one of the Coordinators of the movement, our Wishesh gathered info that they were doing this since 2010 and this was their third year in operation. He also informed that nearly 1000 mud idols, (ideal for homes at the cost of Rs 15/-) were distributed to the households in the colony free of cost. Kudos to their efforts and Wishesh wishes them success in their annual endeavor. Because service to mankind is service to God. With their efforts it is good riddance to water pollution.

Mahindra Cars: Mahindra has started selling the Quanto, targeting customers of Maruti’s Swift and DZire with the vehicle that’s 12 percent shorter in length than the Xylo.

T20 World Cup 2012 Schedule: T20 fever grips the entire domain of cricket fans, with just light matches on the anvil the peak is not anywhere visible, but the Sunday encounter between India and England is sure to keep one on the edge. The clash of the titans, not to be missed.

Heroine: This film by Kareena Kapoor is globally releasing today with surmounted expectations. It's the story of Mahi Arora (Kareena Kapoor), the reigning queen of Bollywood. The Madhur Bhandarkar film heaps laurels on the starlet's outstanding performance.  (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
