At least 15 infants died in the past two days at Niloufer Hospital of Hyderabad due to the strike of junior doctors, who even boycotted the emergency services.  There are reports that several infants are losing their lives due to the lack of medical attention. Several others were said to be in a critical condition and were battling with life. There has been an outcry from the patients, who have been reportedly cursing the doctors for boycotting the emergency services. They reportedly questioned whether parents of these junior doctors made their sons and daughters the doctors to achieve this.

Meanwhile, the superintendent of Niloufer Hospital has said that alternative measures have been taken for ensuring that emergency services are attended. Even after infants losing their lives, junior doctors are not stepping down. They said they would intensify the strike in case government doesn't respond to their demands in another two days.
