The State Governor is to have has given a green signal for amendments in the 1982 Educational bill and the 2008 technical education bill. As per the new amendments the government would intensify it monitoring the private colleges.

Meanwhile  the sub committee of ministers who were scheduled to meet during the course of the day to discuss the fee structure in colleges was rescheduled. With out a stipulated fee structure for engineering college students announcing the dates for counseling would be worked out by the state government.  The government is already discussing about the legal implications over the issue. And as the advocate general had not sent in his report on the issue the government rescheduled the meet.

The set of Ministers shall meet tomorrow after receiving the report and take a decision on the issue. The government is also supposed to announce the counseling dates after the meet. And then admissions, that are already delayed this academic year for the state engineering colleges would begin. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
