High Court fines Jagan's companies

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has reportedly expressed its anguish against Jagati Publications, Janani Infra and Indira Television (which are run by prime accused in illegal assets case, Jaganmohan Reddy).  The highest court of law in the state has fined Rs. One lakh each on these three organizations for repeatedly filing continuous individual petitions for unfreezing the frozen bank accounts by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

It may be recalled that CBI, a premier investigation agency in the country, looked into the alleged irregularities during YSR regime. The agency has found that Jagan, son of the then CM, allegedly dolled out favours to certain companies, which invested him, with the influence of his father. Therefore, it named him as accused number one and arrested him. Subsequently, the bank accounts of the companies run by him were frozen.
