Vijayamma pens down letter to PM

The YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy’s mother and widow of YSR, Vijayamma has written another letter to the prime minister seeking justice to her son, who has been named as accused number one by CBI in connection with illegal assets case.

In her letter, YS Vijayalakshmi has stated that the arrest by the CBI was a politically motivated act. She has also said that Jaganmohan Reddy’ arrest was undemocratic. Vijayamma has serious found fault with CBI over the timing of the arrest.

Vijayamma has also stated that Jaganmohan Reddy was staying in Bangalore when his father was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. He, along with his family, continued to live in Bangalore until 2010, she added. Therefore, she said, there was no scope for Jagan’s involvement in the issue. In fact, she even pointed out that CBI kept the name of YSR over the irregularities instead of putting the name of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. She said the GOs passed during YSR regime was collective responsibility of the entire cabinet and said all the 45 cabinet ministers during YSR rule should be named as the accused.

The prime minister is yet to respond on this letter. Whether or not prime minister would interfere in the issue is an interesting topic of the day.
