YSR would have stepped down as CM if he was alive: Lagadapati

Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal stirred up a new controversy yet another time. With YSR Congress leaders and family members of YSR taking on Congress, Lagadapati jumped into the action to defend Congress. He has said that late YS Rajashekara Reddy would have stepped down from the chief minister’s post in case he was not dead.

He even said that YS would have landed in soup for the irregularities that had been committed by his son YS Jaganmohan Reddy. To make a point Lagadapati has stressed that YS Vijayalakshmi and YS Jaganmohan Reddy never raised any suspicion on the death of YSR despite meeting Sonia Gandhi a couple of times.

Talking on bifurcation issue, Lagadapati has said that a clear cut statement by the Centre would be announced in August.

Now that Lagadapati said YSR would have stepped down as the chief minister, YSR Congress is likely to lash out at Vijayawada MP.
