Congress MP Chiranjeevi is all set to tour Anantapur district on Monday as a part of Congress by-election campaign, which has been in full swing for quite sometime now. Notably, this is the first time for Chiru to enter Anatapur district as Congress megastar. It may be noted that Chiru earlier took part in election campaign in 2009 as a PRP leader.

Chiranjeevi, who will tour Anantapur district for two days, will hold several road shows in Anantapur town today. He will stay back Anantapur tonight and will leave for Rayadurgam in the early hours to Tuesday. Chiru will stage a public meeting besides a road show in Rayadurgam constituency. It may be noted that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana have already toured this district recently as a part of by-election campaign. However, the response from the public to Chiranjeevi’s road show would undoubtedly be overwhelming compared to their shows and speeches given the fact that the fan base for Chiranjeevi in Rayalaseema region of AP is huge. Most of the people, in fact, look upon at Chiranjeevi as a demigod in this area. Therefore, Congress is in great benefit now and forever only because it welcomed Chiranjeevi. Otherwise, the sources said victory of Congress without Chiranjeevi was next to impossible.

Although Congress party made Chiranjeevi the member of Rajyasabha, scores of Chiranjeevi fans have already expressed on several social media platforms that they want Chiru to become the chief minister.
