The chief electoral officer Banwarlal has said that they have asked the Centre to press 139 companies’ security force into the action at 18 assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha constituency in the state. It is known that by-polls to these constituencies will be conducted on June 12. Banwarlal has exuded confidence that the expected security forces would be deployed by the Centre.
Further, he said he ordered the district collectors of Chittoor and Kadapa districts over the allegations that Kiran Kumar Reddy and minister Ahmedulla spoke on elections in Tirupati and dargah in Kadapa respectively.
He has also said that they have so far seized eight crore rupees from the party activists. Also, he said he has convened an all party meeting for discussion on the code of conduct on May 17. Already eight recognized political parties in the state received the invitation for all party meet, he added. (Phani)
