T MPs stall Lok Sabha

The parliament was adjourned on Monday till 12 PM after MPs from Telangana raised slogans in support of bill on Telangana and displayed placards. The opposition party, BJP asked the Centre to explain its stand on Telangana issue. The leader of the opposition in the house, Sushma Swaraj has criticized the protests that disrupted the Parliament. Nonetheless, she asked the government to come out with a clarity. The MPs who staged protests in the house today belonged to TRS party.

The TRS president K Chandrashekara Rao and the party MP Vijayashanti sat in speaker’s well and raised slogans in support of bifurcation of state. The speaker tried to continue the Question Hour but later adjourned due to continuous uproar.

It may be mentioned here that Sushma Swaraj earlier strongly supported the cause when the MPs indulged in slogan shouting. The sudden U turn of the leader of the opposition has become the hot debate among the political observers in the state.

Meanwhile, TRS and Congress took on BJP over the suspension of eight MPs from Lok Sabha for four days last week. (Phani)
