CM not caring opposition requests and transfers ACB additional director

The ruling Congress on Friday went ahead with the transfer of ACB additional director Srinivas Reddy who was probing liquor pay-off scandal despite the repeated requests of the opposition parties urging that he be not transferred. Even Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) too objected the protest. Before the transfer orders came active, the opposition parties made several requests that including leaders from TDP, CPI and Loksatta party.  Addressing the media, CPI state secretary, Narayana has said that the government at the state has come under pressure from the liquor syndicate.  TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu said that the mafias were ruling the state.    Upset over the act of the government, the opposition party leaders cried foul and said that they even asked the chief minister to stop these order at least till Srinivas Reddy submits his reports to the High Court.  Our confidential sources said that the opposition parties are likely to stage protest across the state against the government’s highhandedness. They are also most likely to approach the centre and complain against the chief minister. One has to await and see whether the opposition parties will be successful in their efforts.
