BJP too may contest in the by polls

The BJP unit of AP has also bugled the poll siren saying it is ready to put up candidates in the by- polls to be held on March 18.

BJP state general secretary Mr Ramachandra Rao told media persons in Hyderabad this evening the party has almost decided to put up candidates.

“It is true it has been decided in the political JAC meeting not to put up candidates against those who had resigned for the sake of Telangana but the party leaders are in favour of contesting wherever we have strength,” he said expressing the party’s intention to take on others in the by- polls.

Ramachandra Rao said they would consult the party high command before a final decision on the selection of candidates is taken.

KCR miffed at BJP decision

Miffed at the BJP decision to put up candidates in the by polls, TRS chief KCR is trying to woo the state BJP Chief Kishan Reddy to convince him into reversing his decision. KCR is damn worried there is bound to be a division in the T votes if BJP puts up candidates.

In order to see the BJP out of poll fray in the by elections, KCR has reportedly asked JAC convener Prof. Kodanda Ram to hold consultations with Kishan Reddy and convince him not to put up candidates.(JUBS)
