21 of AP Govt websites hacked ahead of budget

One day before the AP Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy is to present the annual budget for the year 2012-13 in the state assembly on Friday, cyber criminals hacked 21 major websites of the AP Government including the one which gives the budget details exposing chinks in the cyber security today.

The websites belonged to Gazette notifications, government orders, commercial taxes, GAD, horticulture, factories, remote and interior area development, etc.

The hackers, identifying themselves as!-Bb0yH4cK3r_Dz-! and Hmei7, took care not to deface the home pages but clearly said they have hacked the sites to prove their hacking capabilities. The hackers added an additional page on the site with URL - http://budget.ap.gov.in/Dz.htm saying they are not terror hackers who would steal the information. (JUBS)
