Police conduct criminal-search at Tirupati

Cops in the temple town conducted a house to house search in a colony. They took a few people for forensic evaluation.

Massive combing down operation for culprits has been adopted by the Tirupati Police. They made a door to door search in the BTR colony in Tirupati, in the early hours of the day. The searches are a result of crime rates growing at an alarming level in the town. The search was conducted in 350 houses in the colony, based on information. Nearly 50 people were taken into control and their finger prints were sent for forensic evaluation. These people did not possess valid identifications, like the voter cards, ration cards or any other identities.

The results from the forensic departments will be matched with the crime records. The DGP of Tirupati says that they received information that miscreants from various places in the nation take cover here after committing notorious crimes elsewhere. Normally Tirupati, the Abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara is a famous pilgrim destination in the country, with huge floating population. This helps the miscreants go unnoticed, felt police sources.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
