Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy today drove to the residence of Tirupati MLA Mr Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad and held discussions with him for 50 minutes.

Though it is not clear what exactly transpired between the two, sources revealed that Kiran inquired from the mega star about the possible role Endowments Minister C. Ramachandraiah would play to boost up the prospects of the congress party in Kadapa district in the future.

CM took the step of meeting Chiranjeevi in the backdrop of the Health Minister DL Ravindra Reddy expressing disappointment over the clipping of his wings and announcing he would not play any important role in the ensuing by elections.

Kiran also asked the mega star to take up the responsibility of campaigning in the ensuing by elections in the state. However, the response of Chiranjeevi to the issues raised by the CM is not known yet.

During the discussions, Kiran is said to have offered the post of whip to Mr Anil, MLA of the erstwhile PRP. Another MLA Vanga Geetha is reportedly seeking the post of whip. Before the arrival of CM, revenue minister Raghuveera Reddy held consultations with Chiranjeevi on the same issues. (JUBS)
