Reacting to news stories spread by the media on the cabinet expansion and the changes made in
the portfolios of some ministers, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy has asked the media not to ascribe any motives to the expansion and the portfolio changes.

In a statement issued through his office, the CM said three ministers have been inducted into the cabinet for the purpose of administrative comfort and to serve the public more purposefully. “There are no political motives behind the changes in the portfolios,” the statement said.

Some channels and some Telugu dailies have ascribed political motives to the cabinet expansion and portfolio changes. “There is no truth in the news stories. The entire cabinet will work with team spirit,” said the CMO.

Ravindra Reddy sulks

Health Minister Ravindra reddy expressed dissatisfaction over the reduction of his portfolios. Speaking to newspersons in Kadapa Tuesday afternoon, he said he would not associate with the forthcoming by elections.

“The CM will take full responsibility for the by elections,” he said adding that he was happy with whatever portfolios the CM would entrust him. “If the CM thinks I am not working efficiently and had taken away some of my portfolios for that reason, I don’t need the Minister’s post at all,” he said.
