Amos quits Council Committees, accuses Chairman of bias

Congress MLC of Telangana region Mr   today resigned from his membership of the Council Committees on Ethics and Estimates.

Speaking to journalists in Hyderabad, Amos said he quit from both the Ethics Committee and Estimates Committee protesting against the injustice done to the seniors from the Telangana region in the formation of Council Committees by the Chairman Mr Chakrapani.

Taking objection to the decision of Chakrapani in not giving the posts of Chairman to senior members and Telangana MLCs, Amos said it was nothing but humiliation of the legislators of the T region.

“We didn’t get the chairman posts because we are from the T region. Not even a single MLC from the T region was given the Chairman post,” he said, adding that Chakrapani must take responsibility to this injustice.

Amos charged Chakrapani with ignoring the seniority of MLCs like D Srinivas and Indrasena Reddy in the council apart form him and demanded justice to all regions in the formation of committees and their constitution. “How can he give Chairman’s post to a junior?” he asked.
